Cell alignment is the term used to describe the position of the data within a cell.
With left alignment, the data will appear against the left edge of the cell.
With right alignment, the data will appear against the right edge of the cell.
With centre alignment, the data will appear in the centre of the cell.
By default, all text is aligned to the left.
Data that is recognised as a number will be automatically aligned to the right.
To change the way data is aligned in a cell
1. Right click on the selected cell.
2. Select “Format cells”
3. Select “Alignment”
4. On the “Horizontal” drop down list, choose “Left”, “Right” or “Centre” as required.

2. On the tool bar at the top of the screen, choose “Left”, “Right” or “Centre”, as follows:
