The “Total” spreadsheet should appear as follows:
Looking at the formula for the entry at cell B2, it reads “=SUM(Data!B2:B5)
The formula makes a direct reference to the worksheet “Data”, followed by an exclamation mark (!) to indicate that this is a worksheet name, and then the cell references it is adding in the worksheet “Data”.
Any adjustments to the figures in the “Data” worksheet would automatically change the result of the formula in the “Total” worksheet.
Copying a Worksheet
- Select the worksheet to copy
- Right click on the worksheet name tab
- Choose “Move or Copy”
- The following menu will appear:
- Choose where the copy sheet is to be placed in the workbook
- If the “Create a copy” box is ticked, a copy of the worksheet will be place where indicated.
