Trace Dependents
This option allows the user to identify which cells are affected by the value of the current cell.
Using the same spreadsheet, the object is to identify which cells are depended upon the formula in cell E10. This cell is used to work out all of the formulas in column G, as shown in the worksheet below.
By clicking on the Formula tab across the top of the screen and selecting Trace Dependents, the spreadsheet will identify by way of arrows which other cells are dependent upon its contents.
This will display the following spreadsheet.
Once completed, to remove the arrows click Remove Arrows.
