The main advantages of using barcoding include:
- Transactions involving goods such as receiving goods are recorded in real time
- Minimal human intervention resulting in reduced errors and improved accuracy
In order to ensure a barcoding system works effectively, barcode labels must be held securely on the goods in transit and not defaced in any way.
