Research in AI aims to develop manufacturing machines to automate tasks requiring intelligent behaviour, an example of which being facial recognition. AI systems are already in use with the military, medicine, engineering and social sciences. Many home computer software programs are using a form of AI, such as intelligent fridges, video doorbells, voice controlled devices along with smart thermostats and smart lighting technology which control the heat and light in your home.
